About the Event

A full day hands on workshop for beginner's in eco printing. Learn how to use various seasonal plant sources to create unique colours and prints on natural textiles. We'll cover how to prepare fabrics for dyeing, foraging with a tikanga approach, hot bundle technique and more. Each participant will be given a blank scarf to infuse with beautiful colours and take home. There will also be an opportunity to up-cycle (re-love, redeem) an item of your own preloved clothing. Bring a garment from home made of either wool, silk or linen or perhaps scout the local op shop. Please also bring a small selection of leaves, petals or seeds from your garden or a place significant to you. Vegetarian lunch and cups of tea included.
