Indigo Play Date

Do you know how to use indigo but would like another go at dyeing your own stash without the hassle of making up a vat? I'm having an indigo play day, open to anyone who has some prior experience of indigo dyeing, to give you the opportunity to satiate your indigo addiction. Spaces limited to 8 people. 

2 natural indigo vats will be made up in advance ready for you to use.

I'll also provide the usual equipment for resist dyeing - pegs, clamps, string, rubber bands etc but you are welcome to bring along anything else you might want to experiment with.

Please be aware that this is not a tutored workshop.

Bring along your own fabics, yarn or paper. All items should be washed and dried beforehand, especially new items. Remember these need to be made of natural materials. Please no bulky items like jumpers, jeans or bedding. There are no other limits to what you can bring, however the vat will exhaust over the day so once it's gone, it's gone. 

Please BYO lunch. I'll provide gluten free/vegetarian morning tea.

Wear suitable old clothes. Also bring rubber gloves (the long sort from the supermarket/hardware) and a waterproof container to take wet materials home. Dress for the weather as we'll be working in the garden. 

NOTE: Indigo dyeing is weather dependent, if the forecast predicts dreadful weather then I will be in touch.  Another date will be offered or a refund given on request.
