About the Event
Explore the wonder of dyeing with Indigo in this small group workshop and create yourself a beautiful linen scarf to keep. We'll be using simple Shibori techniques to create resist patterns on fabric with a focus on Nui Shibori - contemplative hand stitching - to bind the fabric before immersing in the dye vat. There will also be an opportunity to experiment with other styles of resist binding including Itajime, Kanoko and Kumo. This is a great opportunity for sustainable upcycling, creating gifts or building craft stash.
What is supplied.
A linen scarf. Cotton fabric swatches. Threads. Indigo dye, tutoring and equipment. Teas & coffee.
What to bring.
