About the Event

Revamp your loved but tired old clothes in an eco-conscious and unique way that benefits your wardrobe and the planet. In this workshop we'll be working with cotton and linen to upcycle items using plant based dyes, leaves, flowers and mineral salts. Over the morning we prepare fibres with a mordant - which helps bind the dye onto the fabric. Then we'll add some colour and prints with a hot bundle technique, sharing inspiration around the fire pit with a cup of tea.

Bring along an item of clothing made of cotton or linen, in a white, cream or pale colour. If nothing in your wardrobe is begging for a makeover then support your local charity op-shop by buying preloved. Don't worry if repairs are needed, we'll discuss ways in which these can become celebrated by you later at home. This full day workshop will leave you with skills for life and a new found love for sustainable fashion.

BYO lunch and garment to upcycle.

All other materials provided.
