About the Event
Choose your colour combination and create a resist on the fabric using binding, clamping, tying, wrapping and stitching techniques.Â
Materials included: Non-toxic Procion dyes in a variety of colours and tie dye equipment will be supplied by the tutor.
Participants need to bring 3 to 5 items of pre-washed lightweight cotton or linen (no polyester please) to dye such as t-shirts, singlets, socks, pillow case, headbands etc. I encourage you to find pre-loved items that you can up-cycle rather than buy new.
Fabrics will need a little bit of easy pre-preparation with washing soda BEFORE the workshop to get the best results and instructions for this will be emailed upon registration.
Bring a morning tea snack, a pair of rubber gloves, a container to take wet things home with you and wear old clothes.
